Martian Gothic: Unification is a survival horror game for PlayStation. You control three characters who arrive at a research base on Mars after contact is lost, and you switch between them as you explore. The central rule is that the three must never meet: bringing two characters together has fatal consequences, so you have to route them separately through the facility and pass items between them using dispatch tubes placed around the base. Play involves searching rooms, reading logs and notes to piece together what happened, solving inventory and code puzzles, and fighting or avoiding the creatures now inhabiting the station. Ammunition and health supplies are limited. The base is presented as pre-rendered environments with fixed camera angles, and much of the game is about managing three characters' positions and inventories at once.
