The PlayStation Portable version of the 3D fighter that sets Marvel heroes against the Imperfects, a cast of original characters created for the game. Battles play out in enclosed arenas containing objects and scenery you can smash or hurl at your opponent, and each fighter has a set of standard attacks, aerial moves and a stronger special ability. A story mode carries you through the conflict between the two sides, switching the character you control as the plot moves along, while additional modes let you fight single matches and unlock further characters and bonus content. Handheld play uses the PSP's face buttons and analogue nub, with camera work that keeps both combatants visible in the confined arenas. Designed for short sessions on the go.
