Mort the Chicken is a 3D platformer for the original PlayStation in which you play a chicken trying to rescue chicks that have been captured by cubes. Levels are built as themed 3D areas that you run, jump and explore, tracking down the missing chicks scattered throughout each stage while avoiding or defeating the block-shaped enemies. Mort's abilities center on jumping and a pecking attack, along with movement tricks used to reach higher ledges and cross hazards. The presentation is deliberately cartoonish and lighthearted, with bright, blocky environments and simple objectives that push you toward searching every corner of a level. It is a single-player game aimed at players who enjoy collection-driven platformers from the era.
