Mortal Kombat: Unchained is the PlayStation Portable version of Mortal Kombat: Deception. Fights take place in 3D arenas, with each character able to switch between multiple fighting styles mid-combat, including two hand-to-hand styles and a weapon style. Arenas contain hazards and death traps you can knock opponents into, and matches end with Fatalities performed through input commands. Beyond standard versus and arcade-style play, the package includes Konquest, an adventure mode where you move through areas, talk to characters and complete objectives, plus the board-game-style Chess Kombat and the falling-block game Puzzle Kombat. The handheld release adds fighters who were not selectable in the console version. Wireless play lets two PSP owners fight each other, and the Krypt hides unlockable content bought with currency earned in play.
