Namco Museum Volume 2 for PlayStation continues the series of Namco arcade compilations. Its lineup draws on the company's coin-op games, including the vertically scrolling shooter Xevious, the platform-and-trampoline chase game Mappy, Super Pac-Man and the side-view action of Dragon Buster. As in the other volumes, games are reached through a virtual museum you explore in first person, with rooms housing each title along with display material such as artwork and cabinet imagery. The games are presented in their arcade form, built around limited lives, repeating stages that grow harder, and score as the main measure of progress, which keeps sessions brief. Inputs are handled with the PlayStation controller. The disc is intended for players who want several of Namco's arcade titles together with the collection's museum-style presentation.
