NBA Hang Time is an arcade basketball game played two-on-two, carrying on the exaggerated style of Midway's NBA Jam games. Fouls and most rules are ignored, players jump far above the rim, and hitting several shots in a row sets a player on fire for a stretch of boosted shooting. Alley-oops and cooperative double dunks let a pair of teammates chain together spectacular finishes. A create-a-player feature lets you build your own baller and improve his attributes over time, and matches use NBA teams and players. Multiplayer support allows several people to play together on one console, teaming up or facing off. Presentation follows the coin-op original, with digitized-looking players, play-by-play calls and crowd noise over fast, high-scoring games.
