NFL GameDay 97 is an officially licensed American football game for the original PlayStation. You select NFL teams and players, choose plays from a playbook on offense and defense, and then control the action directly on the field, throwing passes, breaking tackles, and lining up field goals and punts. The game uses polygonal players in 3D stadiums, an early approach to the sport on the hardware, with commentary and replays between plays. Modes cover single exhibition games, season play leading to the playoffs, and two-player matches on one console for head-to-head competition. Standard football rules are in place, including downs, penalties, timeouts and clock management, so games play out over four quarters with the usual strategic decisions about when to run, pass or kick.
This listing is for an authentic original disc — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
