NHL 2000 is an EA Sports hockey game for the original PlayStation, played with licensed NHL teams and player rosters. Matches are standard five-on-five hockey viewed from an overhead broadcast-style angle, with passing, shooting, dekes and checking mapped to the controller and automatic switching between teammates on defence. Penalties, fights and goaltender behaviour are simulated, and options let you loosen or tighten the rules and adjust period length and difficulty. You can play one-off exhibition games, run a team through a season and the playoffs, or take on shootouts and other shorter contests. Two players can compete or team up on one console. Commentary, crowd noise and replays frame the action between whistles, with menus for line-ups and roster changes.
This listing is for an authentic original disc — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
