Reel Fishing is a fishing simulation for the original PlayStation. Rather than an arcade take on the sport, it aims for a measured, realistic feel: you choose a location, pick a rod, line, lure or bait, then cast and work the lure through the water to attract fish. Hooking one starts a tug of war where you fight the fish while watching line tension, reeling in when it tires and giving line when it runs so the line does not snap. Different species inhabit different spots, and conditions such as time of day affect what is biting. Landed fish are recorded with their size and weight, and you can release them back into the water. Presentation leans on quiet outdoor scenery and ambient sound rather than commentary.
