Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue is a third-person platformer with an Australian outback theme. As Ty, you throw boomerangs to fight enemies and solve simple environmental puzzles, gaining access to additional boomerang types with different properties as the game progresses. The game is built around a hub town where characters assign missions that send you out into the surrounding regions. Tasks vary between combat, rescue objectives, timed challenges and collection goals, and vehicle segments break up the on-foot action with driving and shooting. Money earned from missions goes toward upgrades and equipment. Alongside the mission line there are collectibles hidden throughout the environments for players who want to explore more thoroughly.
