Urban Chaos: Riot Response is a first-person shooter that casts you as a police officer in a specialist unit fighting an armed gang that has seized control of parts of a city. You move through streets, apartment blocks, hospitals and industrial areas, engaging enemies, defusing bombs and freeing hostages and trapped civilians. A riot shield can be held up to block incoming fire while you shoot one-handed, and melee attacks handle close-range threats. Firefighters and paramedics can be summoned to cut through obstacles or treat the wounded once an area is clear. Performance in each mission is rated on objectives such as civilians rescued and accuracy, which unlocks extra material. Between levels, television news segments frame the unfolding situation in the city. This is the Xbox release, played from a first-person view with controller aiming.
