This Xbox release of Project Zoo is a third-person action platformer built around Aardman's Wallace and Gromit. You mainly play as Gromit, running, jumping, climbing and swinging through zoo enclosures while Wallace provides gadgets that let you break obstacles, grab and throw objects, fire projectiles and work through mechanical puzzles. The goal is to free captive baby animals and gather the parts and cogs scattered through each area, with boss fights capping off the themed worlds. Levels mix straightforward platforming with light combat and switch-and-crate puzzle sections. The visuals mimic the claymation style of the short films, with modelled characters, exaggerated animation and voiced story scenes between stages. The Xbox version offers the same campaign as the other console editions.
