Worms Forts Under Siege takes the series' turn-based combat into 3D and layers fortress construction on top. Each side starts from a stronghold and expands across the map by building keeps, towers and support structures, which claim ground and open up progressively more powerful weapons. The buildings follow the styles of different historical civilisations. On your turn you move worms, place or upgrade structures and fire on the enemy, all under a time limit, aiming ultimately to bring down the opposing stronghold. The free camera lets you survey the battlefield and judge arcing shots over walls and hills. The game includes a single-player campaign made up of scenarios with varying objectives, plus skirmish battles and multiplayer matches for playing against others.
