Xevious 3D/G+ is a Namco shooter package for the PlayStation built around Xevious 3D/G, a polygonal update of the classic vertical shooter. You pilot a craft over scrolling terrain and continue to juggle two attack types: shots aimed at airborne enemies and bombs dropped on ground targets marked by an on-screen sight. The 3D presentation adds camera movement and depth to stages while keeping the original's two-plane structure intact. The disc also collects earlier games from the series, letting you play older arcade versions alongside the newer one for comparison. Sessions are short and score-driven, with progress coming from learning enemy formations and the placement of ground installations. Controls stay simple, with separate inputs for firing and bombing.
