Harvest Moon 2 continues the handheld farming series on Game Boy Color. You manage a farm through a calendar of seasons, clearing land, sowing and watering crops, harvesting them for income, and raising animals whose products you can sell. Each in-game day runs on a clock, and your character's stamina limits how much work can be done before sleeping. Money earned goes toward better tools, more seeds and expansions to the farm and its buildings. Away from the fields you can head into town to speak with the local residents, attend seasonal festivals and court a marriage candidate. The pace is set by you rather than by objectives, with progress measured in how much the farm and your relationships grow over time.
