Link's Awakening DX is the Game Boy Color version of the handheld Zelda set on Koholint Island. Link is shipwrecked and must collect eight instruments from the island's dungeons to wake the Wind Fish. The core game is the same overhead adventure, with two item slots mapped to the A and B buttons, a trading sequence, and dungeons that each hand over a tool needed to continue. This version adds color graphics and an extra dungeon, the Color Dungeon, whose puzzles are built around colored tiles and which rewards you with a choice of bonus. A photograph shop is also included, where a character snaps pictures at set moments that can be viewed in an album.
