Alien Trilogy on Sega Saturn is a first-person shooter built around the settings of the first three Alien films. Playing as Ellen Ripley, you work through level sets themed on the colony, the derelict complex and the prison facility, fighting xenomorphs, facehuggers and armed opponents. The design follows the conventions of early 1990s shooters: flat-plane movement, sprite-based enemies, keycards and switches to open your route, hidden rooms, and pickups for ammunition and health. Weapons expand as you progress, and larger alien encounters cap off sections of the game. A radar display and audio cues help you track creatures before they come into view, and the low-lit corridors keep sightlines short. This is a single-player campaign played level by level.
