Fighters MegaMix is a 3D fighting game for the Sega Saturn that brings together characters from Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighting Vipers into one roster, along with a number of unusual guest fighters pulled from other Sega games, including the Hornet car from Daytona USA. Fighting Vipers characters keep their armour, which can be broken off under sustained damage, and some stages use walled arenas while others allow ring-outs in the Virtua Fighter tradition. Controls follow the three-button layout of punch, kick and guard, with throws, combos and wall-based attacks depending on the stage. Modes include one-on-one matches against the CPU, two-player versus play, and progression through a series of opponents that unlocks additional characters as you win.
