Galaxy Fight is a one-on-one 2D fighting game with a science-fiction cast of aliens, robots and warriors from different worlds. Its arenas have no walls: the stages scroll endlessly in both directions, so there are no corner traps and spacing plays out differently from most fighters of the era. Matches use a standard best-of format with punches, kicks, special moves fired off with joystick motions, and dashes for closing distance. Characters vary widely in reach and speed, from small quick fighters to large slow ones. The Saturn version includes single-player play through the roster as well as versus matches against a second player, with hand-drawn sprites and colourful alien backdrops. Attacks are fairly simple to execute, keeping the focus on movement and timing.
