Night Trap is a full-motion video game in which you monitor a house through its security camera system. Live-action footage plays out in real time as a group of young women stay at the house, and intruders move from room to room. Your job is to switch between cameras to follow the action and trigger hidden traps at the right moment to capture the threats. Mistiming a trap lets an intruder continue, and failing to protect the visitors ends the game. You also listen for a changing colour code that determines when the traps can be armed. Because events unfold on a fixed schedule regardless of where you are looking, replaying to learn the timing and the layout of the house is central to finishing it. This release runs on the Sega 32X.
