The Sega 32X release of WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game uses the add-on's extra power to carry the coin-op's digitized wrestler sprites and fast action to the Genesis. Structurally it is a fighting game wearing wrestling clothes: health bars decide matches, special moves are performed with joystick and button commands, and the attacks stray far past anything possible in a real ring. Mid-1990s WWF names make up the lineup, among them Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Razor Ramon, Yokozuna, Doink the Clown, Bam Bam Bigelow and Lex Luger. You can fight through opponents solo or take on a second player, with bouts that sometimes place several wrestlers on screen together. Presentation leans on crowd noise, entrance flourishes and photographed likenesses of the performers.
