Crazy Taxi is Sega's arcade driving game about picking up passengers and getting them where they want to go before time runs out. You select a driver and cab, then roam a hilly coastal city, stopping for waiting fares and following a large arrow toward each drop-off. Fast deliveries add time to the clock and bigger payouts, and the game rewards aggressive driving with bonuses for near misses, jumps and sustained drifts through traffic. Runs can be set to different time limits, and the separate Crazy Box mode strings together focused driving tests and stunt challenges. This Dreamcast version is the home conversion of the coin-op game, playing as a repeatable score chase where learning the city's shortcuts is the main way to improve.
