Death Crimson OX is a light gun shooter for the Sega Dreamcast. The action is on rails: the game moves you through each stage automatically while you aim at enemies that appear on screen, shooting them before they can damage you and reloading when your magazine runs dry. Levels are broken into sections and capped with larger boss enemies that require you to target specific weak points. The game supports the Dreamcast light gun as well as the standard controller, and it can be played with a second player for cooperative shooting. Presentation leans on horror and occult imagery, with cutscenes between stages carrying the story. Score tallies, accuracy tracking and continues follow the conventions of arcade-style gun games.
