Looney Tunes Space Race is a kart-style racing game for the Sega Dreamcast starring Warner Bros. cartoon characters. You pick a racer such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian or Taz and race around themed tracks built on cartoon and outer-space settings, complete with shortcuts, jumps and hazards. Pickups scattered along the courses give weapons and boosts to use against rivals, and each character has a special attack of their own. Alongside straight races there are challenge events and unlockable content earned by winning. Two players can race in split screen. Presentation follows the cartoons closely, with cel-styled character models, slapstick animations when racers are hit, and voice clips during events.
