Soul Fighter is a 3D action game for the Dreamcast in which you fight through waves of enemies using melee attacks and magic. You choose from a small cast of warriors, each with different reach, speed and abilities, and battle your way through streets, ruins and other environments toward boss encounters. Combat mixes basic strikes and combos with picked-up items and special attacks, and the camera follows the action as you move from one enclosed area to the next. Enemies arrive in groups, so much of the play involves positioning yourself and clearing space before pushing forward. Cutscenes tie the stages together into a fantasy storyline. It is a straightforward brawler built around continuous fighting rather than exploration or puzzle solving.
