Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist is a side-scrolling beat 'em up for the Sega Genesis. Shredder uses the Hyperstone to shrink part of New York City, and the turtles set out to stop him. You pick Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael or Michelangelo, each with a different weapon reach and feel, and move left to right through stages taking on Foot Soldiers with punches, kicks, jumping attacks and throws. Levels run through city streets, a ship, a fire-lit district and Shredder's stronghold, and each ends with a boss drawn from the cartoon's rogues gallery. Two players can fight through the game together on the same screen, and the game also offers a mode for battling a friend directly. Backgrounds and enemy sprites share their look with the arcade-era turtle brawlers.
