Vectorman 2 is a run-and-gun platformer for the Sega Genesis. You control Vectorman, a character built from a cluster of spheres rendered with pre-calculated 3D graphics, giving the sprites a distinctive metallic, jointed look. The core play has you running, jumping and shooting with a rapid-fire arm cannon, with weapon pickups scattered through levels that temporarily swap in stronger or spread-firing armaments. Transformations remain part of the design, letting Vectorman morph into other forms with their own movement and attack abilities for specific sections. Stages lean heavily on insect and swamp themes, filling the screen with bugs and organic hazards alongside mechanical enemies, and each area builds toward a boss fight. Levels hide bonus areas and pickups that reward exploring beyond the direct route to the exit.
