Corpse Killer is a full-motion-video shooting game for the Sega 32X. You take the role of a soldier stranded on a Caribbean island where a scientist has raised an army of zombies, and you fight back by moving a crosshair over live-action video footage and firing. Between shooting stages you travel around the island, manage supplies and take on missions, with digitised actors delivering the story in filmed cutscenes. The 32X hardware handles the video playback, and gameplay is built around reaction timing and picking targets out of the on-screen footage rather than free movement. The game can be played with a standard pad or a light gun peripheral, and the horror-B-movie tone runs throughout.
