Decap Attack is a side-scrolling platformer for the Sega Genesis. You control Chuck D. Head, a stitched-together creature with a face in the middle of his torso and no head of his own. His main attack is thrusting that torso face forward at close range, and he can also throw a skull as a projectile once he picks one up. Stages run left to right across a monster-themed world, mixing jumping puzzles with enemies to clear and hidden areas to find. Along the way you collect items and bonuses, and boss encounters cap off sections of the adventure. The game's humor comes through in its cartoon-grotesque enemy designs and bright, exaggerated backgrounds. Controls are simple: run, jump, attack, and use whatever pickups you are carrying.
