Buster's Hidden Treasure is a Sega Genesis platformer in which you control Buster Bunny across a series of side-scrolling stages. Progress is handled through an overworld map that links levels together and lets you take alternate routes to hidden areas and bonus stages. Buster attacks mainly by jumping on enemies, and power-ups scattered through the levels change his abilities and give him extra protection against damage. Montana Max serves as the antagonist behind the trouble, and other characters from the Tiny Toon Adventures cartoon appear throughout as bosses and helpers. Levels cover a range of outdoor and indoor settings with moving platforms, springs and timed hazards. The graphics use bright, cartoon-styled sprites and backgrounds modeled on the animated series.
